I had a lego mindstorm set which wasn't being used so I decided to use it to make a car of some sort. For those who don't know what lego mindstorm is then it is a set of lego motors and sensors which you can code and control. For further details see Lego Mindstorms.
The first challenge was the steering but that was quickly solved when I decided to use tracks instead of wheels and making steering with tracks is very simple as you only need to power each track individually to steer the vehicle. One of the main design features I wanted to involve was it being very strong and durable which was a challenge to make since you need lots of pieces and knowledge of structural technics but I think I did a good job. I thought that it looked a bit bare and boring so I wanted to add a fake working v4 (a V-twin on each track). After that the build was looking a bit ugly which I solved by making a body for the car I also made an interior.
I think that this build turned out really well making it my first successful build I had created myself. Even though the mindstorm was a bit outdated but I managed to find the app which made it so I could control my vehicle from my phone.
